TASTING NOTE:
Colour: Dark shade between red and purple.
Smell: Intense herbal aromas where the aniseed stands out.
Taste: Slightly bitter at the entrance. On the palate, notes of liquorice and aniseed emerge. Warm finish.
PRODUCER: Teichenné. Family business dedicated to the production of spirits, founded in 1956, in the municipality of Arbós, in the province of Tarragona, in the south of Catalonia. Initially, production was entirely handmade and very limited, covering only the demand from the nearest regions. In the 1970s they underwent a process of expansion where they expanded their range of products, positioning themselves in the Spanish market as a leading company in the production of sweet fruit liqueurs and other distillates. In 1993 they moved to a new plant in Bellvei del Penedès. At present they have a catalogue of more than 400 products that they export to 35 countries.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: This high alcoholic drink is obtained from the maceration and subsequent distillation of various herbs of Mediterranean origin such as wormwood, liquorice, fennel and aniseed. This drink was named after Jacques Senaux, a famous French taster from the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region, who devoted himself to researching aromatic herbs, especially wormwood.
